Nidahas Trophy 2018: Indian Squad

The Indian cricket board has named a 15-man squad for the tri-nation T20I series, which also involves Bangladesh and host Sri Lanka. The squad for the T20 cricket tournament titled Nidahas Trophy has been finalized keeping in mind the workload and upcoming schedule. This squad consisted of both young and experienced players will be led by Rohit Sharma because senior players like Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni have been rested for the series. 

The reason behind giving adequate rest to players, especially fast bowlers, is to help improve their athletic performance, maximize performance, maximize rest and prevent injury, according to M.S.K Prasad, chairman of the all-India senior selection committee.
India recently finished their tour series in South Africa where they lost the Test series 2-1 but won both ODI and T20 series in February. They will try their best to continue their winning streak.
The Nidahas Trophy 2018 will start from March 6. All matches of this series will be played at R Premadasa Stadium.
India’s squad for the T20 series: Rohit Sharma (captain), Shikhar Dhawan (vice-captain), KL Rahul, Suresh Raina, Manish Pandey, Dinesh Karthik (wicketkeepter), Deepak Hooda, Washington Sundar, Yuzvendra Chahal, Axar Patel, Vijay Shankar, Shardul Thakur, Jaydev Unadkat, Mohammed Siraj, Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper).
